EDMONTON — Teddy Ash and Brendan Kornberger will clash for the vacant Unified MMA Middleweight Championship at #Unified29 on December 16 in Edmonton.

A product of Fort McMurray, Ash is riding high on back-to-back, first-round finishes and has a 6-2 record overall. Only one of the hard-hitting, former junior football player’s fights has gone three rounds. Kornberger, meanwhile, brings a 6-3 record into battle, with five of the Richmond, B.C.’s victories coming by stoppage.

Both fighters are pumped to have the Unified MMA Middleweight Championship to show their families during the holidays — and neither plans on giving their opponent an inch when push comes to shove.

“This is a super tough fight and I’m really excited to rise to the occasion and challenge myself to win a title,” Ash says. “Winning this belts means the world to me, and no one is going to stop me from winning this championship.”

“I can’t wait for this fight,” Kornberger adds. “This fight is either going to end quickly, or I’m going to take him into the third round and finish him there. However it ends, I can’t wait to have that belt wrapped around my waist on December 16.”

As well as Tanner Boser defending his Unified MMA Heavyweight Championship versus Bellator vet Marcus Sursa, a grudge rematch for the Unified MMA Lightweight Championship between Garret Nybakken and Aaron Bosiak, a battle between top Canadian lightweights Mike Scarcello and Matt DesRoches, Unified MMA 29 will also feature battles between Menad Abella and Dustin Greentree, Jordan Bittner and Neil Doty, Phil Engeroff and Blair Turnquist, and Gurjeet Bilkhu and Cory Chambers, on December 16 in Edmonton.
