Sunny Sareen: President
A lifelong fan of combat sports, Sunny Sareen began promoting professional MMA events in 2009 as a hobby. Under the guidance of the lifelong Edmonton native, Unified MMA has risen from its humble beginnings to become Canada’s preeminent MMA promotion, with events aired live on UFC Fight Pass. Sunny prides himself on promoting the most meaningful and exciting fights in Canada, and helping organizations grow their business with the platform that Unified MMA provides.
Rob Veevers: Vice President of Talent Relations & Business Development
Rob Veevers is a former member of the media, fighter agent and matchmaker in his native Ontario. Rob’s primary responsibilities at Unified MMA include matchmaking, business relationships, and helping the organization expand into new markets across Canada.
Ed Kapp: Vice President of Communications
Ed Kapp is a Saskatchewan-based public relations specialist who has made his living in the world of combat sports since 2015. Along with his work as Director of Communications at Unified MMA, Ed also serves as personal publicist to more than 100 clients in the UFC, and for CES MMA, another UFC Fight Pass promotion.
Ricky Raposo: Director of Operations
As an original attendee of early Unified events, Ricky Raposo started participating in small roles to help the events run smoothly. With each event his engagement grew, eventually taking on the role of Director of Operations. Ricky’s background in education, and experience organizing a variety of large events, contributes to the smooth planning and execution of each event.
Alan Arellano: Director of Operations
Alan is a lifelong mixed martial arts fan with natural born leadership and an entrepreneurial spirit that specializes in Supply Chain, Planning and Operations. Alan serves as the Unified MMA Director of operations and communication, showcasing his versatility and commitment to organizational leadership.
Hope Cummins: Business Manager
Hope Mercedes brings passion and experience to her role as Business Manager at Unified MMA. With a lifelong love for UFC and immersion in the fighting environment, she has seamlessly transitioned into her new position after being a part of the team for over a year. As Business Manager, Hope oversees all facets of event organization and management, working closely with Sunny to ensure seamless execution of operational and logistical functions. Her collaborative approach extends to engaging with fighters, sponsors, vendors, and regulatory staff, ensuring that all Unified MMA events adhere to regulations and uphold organizational standards.
Jason Toufexis of UNDISPUTED: Creative Partner
Jason Toufexis is the Creative Director of UNDISPUTED, a creative agency based in Toronto, Ontario. As a fight marketing & design specialist he provides creative support for all Unified MMA operations.
Morgan Cantelon: Creative Partner
Morgan Cantelon is a Graphic Designer based in Edmonton, Alberta. He provides creative support for Unified MMA operations.
Andrew Silla: Creative Partner
Andrew Silla is a videographer/editor based in Edmonton. Serving as the main videographer/editor of Unified MMA with iconic videos and promotional pieces. He provides creative support for all Unified MMA operations.
Mitch Clarke: Commentary Team
A pioneer of Canadian MMA, Mitch Clarke first entered the Unified MMA broadcast booth for UFC Fight Pass in 2021. Prior to forming the best commentary team in Canadian MMA with John Ramdeen, Mitch was the first athlete from Saskatchewan to fight in the UFC, where he competed from 2011 to 2017. Mitch also has an extensive coaching background, bringing a lifetime of experience in the trenches to the booth.
John Ramdeen: Commentary Team
One of the most respected broadcasters in Canadian combat sports history, John Ramdeen joined the UFC Fight Pass broadcast booth for Unified MMA in 2021. A long-time fixture on The Fight Network, John has made a career of calling fights and other martial arts competitions around the world for some of the biggest organizations in the sport for nearly two decades.
Aaron Bronsteter: Commentary Team
Aaron Bronsteter is a member of the Unified MMA commentary team. Bronsteter serves as the MMA reporter for TSN, Canada's top sports network, where he has assumed the role since 2017. In 2022, Bronsteter was nominated for Journalist of the Year at The World MMA Awards.
Ryan Rother: Commentary Team/Post-Fight Host
A former Unified MMA competitor turned businessman. Ryan Rother is a veteren in the Canadian MMA scene.
James Lynch: Pre-Fight Host
Widely regarded as one of the most respected media personalities in combat sports, James Lynch sets the tone going into fight night with a series of pre-fight interviews. His on-air resume includes The Score and Pro Fight League.
Don Andrews: Ring Announcer
Known in the MMA and combat sport world as “The Voice”, Don Andrews has introduced some of the biggest names in the industry, both locally and around the globe for over 16 years. Don Andrews has worked with clients such as the Vancouver Warriors, Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver White Caps Football Club, BC Lions, and Rugby Canada.
