EDMONTON — Pat Pytlik will clash with Vyron Phillips for the vacant Unified MMA Welterweight Championship in the co-main event of Unified 34 on Sept. 28 at River Cree Resort & Casino in Enoch, AB, LIVE on

Pytlik boasts a perfect 6-0 record as a professional MMA fighter, most recently scoring a first-round TKO over Derek Boyle at Unified 33 in May. The former kickboxer is pumped to perform again under the bright lights at River Cree Resort & Casino.

“I’m extremely proud and grateful to be fighting for this Unified championship. Some of the best fighters and champions in Canada have battled it out for this belt, and I’m excited to add my name to that list,” Pytlik says.

“I bring fireworks every time,” the unbeaten welterweight adds. “The better man will win on fight night; I hope that will be me!”

Phillips, on the other hand, isn’t coming all the way from Ontario to Enoch to lay down for anyone. The hard-hitting welterweight, who once did battle with boxing icon Roy Jones Jr., is excited to put on a show and, ideally, add a belt to his collection.

“I want people to remember our fight as the best showdown in Unified MMA history,” Phillips says with a smile. “It’s my striking abilities against his. I know I’m one of the best strikers on the planet; I do things not too many athletes can do. The fans can expect good entertainment.

“That belt coming back with me!
