Tom Theocharis out for redemption at Unified 59
Sep 23, 2024
TORONTO — Tom Theocharis is more motivated than ever after his recent run on The Ultimate Fighter 32.
Things admittedly didn’t go as planned for Theocharis on the show – he fell short against eventual tournament winner Ryan Loder in his sole fight of the season. But his spirits were high leaving the world-famous TUF House in Las Vegas.
“Being on the show really motivated me to take the next step in my career. Seeing how the UFC treats its fighters was amazing, so that’s the next step that I’m hoping to take,” Theocharis says.
“My fight didn’t go as planned, but I’m really excited to get back on the horse and show people how exciting of a fighter I am, and get that win back.”
Theocharis returns to action at Unified 59 on Oct. 4 at the iconic Rebel Entertainment Complex in his hometown of Toronto, LIVE worldwide on UFC Fight Pass. He’ll be looking to climb to 10-5 at the expense of Maika Graf (8-4) in their super-welterweight matchup.
“This is my opportunity for redemption, and nobody is going to (expletive) stop me,” Theocharis says.
“Maika likes to keep the fight standing and so do I. I’m a very well-rounded fighter at this point in my career, but everybody knows that I’m a kickboxer and have a lot of power standing up.”
Theocharis hopes another highlight reel win puts him back in the UFC’s Octagon by the start of 2025.
“I see myself being back in the UFC by the end of the year,” he says. “I’ve got my foot in the door with the UFC by being on The Ultimate Fighter, and my exciting style is exactly what the UFC is looking for.”
