SCARCELLO MEETS TUF WINNER ESCUDERO AT #UNIFIED30

EDMONTON — Mike Scarcello will enter the Unified MMA cage for the 10th time against his toughest challenge yet, The Ultimate Fighter winner Efrain Escudero, at Unified MMA 30 on March 17 in Edmonton.

A professional since 2010, Scarcello boasts a record of 8-1 in the Unified MMA cage, with his only loss coming in 2013.

Escudero, meanwhile, is entering the cage for the 39th time as a professional after 15 fights in the UFC. The MMA Lab lightweight contender burst onto the scene by winning The Ultimate Fighter in 2008, including a first-round KO win over Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt Cole Miller. A former coach on TUF: Latin America, Escudero is also undefeated in a pair of Bellator MMA fights and is coming off back-to-back wins overseas.

Unified MMA 30 will also include a Lightweight Championship bout between Garret Nybakken and challenger Tristan Connelly, a Light-Heavyweight Championship bout between challengers Jared McComb and Grayson Wells, as well as bout between UFC vet Shane Campbell and Jose Rodriguez, former Middleweight Championship contender Teddy Ash and Jeff Porter, a match between bantamweights Michael Hay and Rick Pfiefer, and a lightweight fight between Justin Nanaquawetung and Neal Anderson.
