EDMONTON — Zack “Pow Pow” Powell answers when opportunity knocks.

He didn’t hesitate for a second when he was called for a short-notice fight against Jeremiah Curtright at Unified 56 on March 22 at River Cree Resort & Casino in Edmonton, AB, LIVE on UFC Fight Pass.

“We were looking for fights in April or May, but this popped up and we jumped at the opportunity,” Powell says. “There was no hesitation at all.”

The 27-year-old Gatineau, QC product is eager to get back in the win column after falling short against top South African contender Mark Hulme – another fight he took on short notice – in front of UFC boss Dana White at Unified 55 in Toronto.

“I’m very excited,” Powell says.

“I’m looking forward to putting on a great performance and getting back in the win column. I think I showed in my last fight that I’m a very entertaining fighter, and that’s what I want to show against Jeremiah on March 22.

“I’m going to go out there, I’m going to entertain, and I’m going to win.”
