UNIFIED MMA HEADS TO RIVER CREE RESORT & CASINO FOR UNIFIED 33

Mar 3, 2018

Unified MMA is extremely proud and excited to announce Unified MMA 33 has been rescheduled for May 11 at River Cree Resort & Casino in Enoch, Alta., featuring a rematch between the champ Shane “Shaolin” Campbell and challenger Stephen “Big Bad” Beaumont for the Unified MMA Lightweight Championship.

A five-time UFC vet and former K-1 kickboxer, Campbell has rattled off three straight wins since signing with Unified MMA after parting ways with the UFC. Beaumont, meanwhile, boasts an impressive 9-2 record, with his only loss coming to Campbell and fellow UFC vet Jason Saggo in 2013. After their previously scheduled rematch was cancelled, both red-hot fighters agree May 11 can’t come soon enough.

“We’re a frontrunner in the Edmonton area as an entertainment destination, and we’re happy to now be in partnership with Unified MMA to host this championship match,” said Vik Mahajan, COO of River Cree Resort & Casino.

“We’re very excited to hold an event like Unified MMA 33, featuring this highly anticipated main event rematch and many of Canada’s other top fighters, at a world-class venue like this,” Unified MMA President Sunny Sareen added. “We believe River Cree Resort & Casino is an ideal venue for MMA events, and we know Canadian MMA fans are going to appreciate everything this impressive complex offers, including its beautiful casino, hotel and much more.”

Unified MMA 33 will also feature, among other returning favourites, former title challenger Mike Scarcello, Neal Anderson, Craig Shintani and Behrang Yousefi.

The event will be overseen by the Central Combative Sports Commission.

Tickets will go on sale at UnifiedMMA.ca/tickets on March 7. There will be dinner tables, as well as general admission tickets available.
