EDMONTON — Two world-class strikers will clash at #Unified29 on December 16 in Edmonton.

Tanner Boser will defend his Unified MMA Heavyweight Championship versus his toughest challenge yet — Bellator MMA vet and Glory kickboxer Marcus Sursa.

Boser brings an 11-2 record to battle, with victories in five of his past six bouts. Sursa, meanwhile, has won five of his past seven fights, including a jaw-dropping, second-round TKO win over former contender Thiago Silva, and has shared the cage with the likes of UFC fighters like Stefan Struve, Alan Belcher, Trevor Prangley and Eddie Sanchez.

Both heavy-handed heavyweights agree on one thing: Fight Night can’t come soon enough.

“I’m stoked to fight again for Unified MMA and defend my title again in front of my hometown. I’m always game. This will be my fifth fight this year,” says Boser, who’s hunting for his ninth stoppage victory. “Marcus Sursa is a world-class fighter with great striking. But so am I. Somebody is getting knocked the (expletive) out.”

That sounds about right, says Sursa.

“I see it playing out with me knocking him out. I see it playing out with me kicking more of his teeth out every round,” says Sursa, a dynamic kickboxer. “He’s going to have more than one tooth missing by the end of this fight, and I’m leaving Canada with that belt wrapped around my waist.

“This is going to be the Fight of the Night, so don’t blink.”

As well as a grudge rematch for the Unified MMA Lightweight Championship between Garret Nybakken and Aaron Bosiak, Teddy Ash is taking on a to-be-announced opponent for the Unified MMA Middleweight Championship, and a battle between top Canadian lightweights Mike Scarcello and Matt DesRoches, Unified MMA 29 will also feature battles between Menad Abella and Dustin Greentree, Jordan Bittner and Neil Doty, Phil Engeroff and Blair Turnquist, and Gurjeet Bilkhu and Cory Chambers, on December 16 in Edmonton.
