Christian Larsen is back at Unified 58

EDMONTON — Christian Larsen makes his highly anticipated return to Canada’s Ultimate Proving Ground this weekend.

On Friday – after nearly 20 months away from the cage – Larsen takes on UFC vet Fabio Cherant at Unified 58 at River Cree Resort & Casino in Edmonton, AB, LIVE on UFC Fight Pass.

Fans across Canada have wondered if they’d see Larsen return to the Unified MMA cage. Although Larsen has been focusing on his day job and education since his last fight, it was always his plan to continue his fighting career with Canada’s leading MMA promotion.

“Fighting is a hard thing to put down, man. I love fighting, and I’ve still got fights in me,” the former Unified MMA Canadian Heavyweight Champion says.

“As long as they’re going to keep offering me fights, I’m going to keep accepting them until I feel it’s something that I can no longer do. But I’ll keep running it back as long as I can.”

Larsen sees himself competing for the next several years. But for now he’s just eager for Friday night under the bright lights at River Cree.

“I’ve had a great camp,” he says.

“My weight is better, and my conditioning is better than it was in my last fights, so I’m just ready to go out there.”
