Gold on the line at Unified 47 as Hammo defends his crown against the unbeaten Basra

CALGARY – Maged Hammo will defend his Unified MMA Canadian Featherweight Championship against undefeated challenger Justin Basra at Unified 47 at the Genesis Centre in Calgary, AB on Dec. 2, LIVE on UFC Fight Pass.

Hammo brings an impressive 11-6-1 record into battle following back-to-back finishes over Neal Anderson. All of his wins are by stoppage (six knockouts and five submissions). Basra, meanwhile, will try to improve to 6-0 in his first fight since 2018. All but one of his victories are by stoppage (two KOs and two submissions). 

Also recently announced for Unified 47 in Calgary is a highly anticipated rematch between former Unified MMA champ Tim “Shady” Smith and Matt Krayco in the super-lightweight division, a battle between unbeaten lightweights Ramil Kamilov (3-0) and Sean “HBK” Michael (3-0), and a featherweight matchup between John Nguyen (4-3) and undefeated Brazilian prospect Diego Santos (4-0).
