EDMONTON – Teshay “My House” Gouthro and UFC vet Eric “Showtime” Shelton will do battle for the Interim Unified MMA Canadian Bantamweight Championship at Unified 51 on June 23 at Niagara Falls Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, ON, LIVE on UFC Fight Pass.

Gouthro enters Unified 51 as one of Canada’s most exciting prospects. The 28-year-old Niagara Top Team standout is 7-1 on the strength of four straight victories. He’ll be hunting for his fourth knockout at Unified 51.

Shelton, a six-time UFC vet, has won four of his last five fights heading into his debut on Canada’s Ultimate Proving Ground. The 32-year-old American Top Team fighter boasts a record of 16-8, with five wins by submission and three by KO.

The winner of Gouthro-Shelton will fight Unified MMA Canadian Bantamweight Champion Noah “The Chosen Defender” Ali (11-5-1) in a title unification bout later this year.

Also at Unified 51, top Canadian welterweight Ergys Sigeta (5-0) takes on American Bradley Desir (10-7). Fellow top Canadian welterweight prospect Bobby Poulter (4-1) locks horns with American Josh Jackson (7-3) in a battle of fighters debuting on Canada’s Ultimate Proving Ground.
