KB Bhullar Ready For a Merrier Christmas After Big Win at Unified 42

Dec 20, 2021

EDMONTON — Christmas is going to be a lot merrier for KB Bhullar after the past weekend.

On Friday, Bhullar ended his 2021 fighting campaign in style with a first-round, head-kick KO over fellow former Unified MMA Champion Brandt Dewsbery (15-3-1) at Unified 42 at the sold-out River Cree Resort & Casino on UFC Fight Pass.

“I wanted to close out the year with a big statement and, man, I just wanted to enjoy Christmas,” offers the 30-year-old Bhullar, who improved to 10-3 with the victory.

Bhullar admits much was at stake on fight night.

“This was probably the most nervous I’ve been heading into a fight. I was really expecting a tough fight that day. I knew there was a lot riding on it, and I knew that Brandt is a very tough opponent,” he says.

“I had to bring it that night.”

“The Bengal” is ready to switch gears and enjoy the holidays – but not too much.

“(The holidays) are going to be so much sweeter now, but I’m not going to get too carried away,” Bhullar insists. “In the past I’ve been a bit of a sleazebag after a win, but I don’t want to do that this time.

“I’m going to keep the ball rolling and get back to work as soon as possible.”
