TORONTO – Life is good for Shane “Shaolin” Campbell.

On Friday in Toronto, he added the Unified MMA Canadian Super-Lightweight Championship to his impressive resume with a one-sided, submission victory over American Darren Smith in the Main Event of Unified 48 on UFC Fight Pass.

“There were a couple moves that I was working on during camp that I executed perfectly, so I’m super pumped about that. Another title, another finish,” Campbell says.

“Life is good right now.”

Campbell gave a scare to fans when he appeared to suffer a knee injury while finishing Smith via rear-naked choke.

“To stand up that night, I was pretty weak, but it’s not a serious problem – it’s something that’s very easy to recover from,” Campbell says when asked about his knee.

That’s six straight victories for Campbell, who now boasts a professional record of 21-8 (seven knockouts and six submissions). Earlier this year, he defeated fellow UFC vet Kyle Prepolec in the Main Event of Unified 43.
