MARTINS CAPS OFF 2015 WITH SECOND WIN AT #UNIFIED25
Dec 26, 2015
EDMONTON — Tope Martins bolstered his position as a fighter to look out for in 2016 with another big victory at #Unified25 in Edmonton.
With the win, the Nigeria-born Blacksheep MMA fighter improved to 2-0 as a professional, with both bouts coming in the #UnifiedMMA cage in 2015.
Though unsatisfied so far, Martins isn’t surprised by his success.
“If you saw me in the gym, you’d be disappointed in my performance in my most recent fight,” Martins says with a smile. “But people are happy with it, so I’m happy about it, too.”
Martins, who’s known to fans as “The Surgeon,” has his sights set on keeping the great times rolling in the Unified MMA cage in 2016.
“I’d like to return to action as soon as possible, hopefully on the next Unified MMA card,” Martins says, smiling. “I’d like to continue winning next year against tougher and tougher opponents so I can continue to climb in the sport.”
