SPISAK PICKS UP FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN AT #UNIFIED25
Dec 23, 2015
EDMONTON — Matt Spisak went into #Unified25 looking for a big knockout.
The Hayabusa Training Centre fighter wasn’t able to find what he was hunting for. But he did pick up his fifth straight win with an impressive first-round submission over Justin Nanaquawetung.
“I was hoping to get the knockout — I’ve been working really hard on my striking — but this was the outcome I was looking for,” Spisak, now 9-5, says.
“I got the takedown, took his back and choked him out.”
Spisak is optimistic heading into 2016, when he’s hoping to continue his streak of first-round stoppages.
