How does it feel to be fighting at home after competing internationally for the last few years?

It feels good to be back fighting at home, if only for one fight. It’s been two and a half years. Time to come back and remind everyone who’s who.

What does Jared Kilkenny bring to the table?

Jared Kilkenny has a wealth of experience. He’s a veteran. He’s dangerous both on the feet and on the ground. That said, I’ve been around the block myself. I don’t think he presents any problems that I haven’t dealt with before, but I take him extremely seriously.

What’s the most likely outcome for this fight?

The most likely outcome in this fight is a knockout. Obviously I believe it’ll be him at the receiving end of it, but fans can expect a violent fight with a violent ending. I’m a realistic man and I’m not afraid to call it like I see it. I’ve predicted decisions in the past and have seen the judges’ scorecards a lot in recent years. I’m not a wealthy man, but I’d bet my bottom dollar that the mix of me and Kilkenny’s styles don’t allow for the fight to go the full distance.

Do you have any words if Jared is reading?

Do I have any words for Jared? Well a couple years ago after defeating my training partner Christian Larsen he called me out. He said I didn’t need to go all the way to Russia to get my ass kicked (laughs). I still think I do. Come prove me wrong.

Where would you like to be one year from today?

One year from today I will still be signed to M-1 Challenge in Russia, as I am now. Hopefully they continue to allow me to occasionally fight with Unified. Maybe in a year’s time I could look to add the M-1 Global belt to my mantle, but first thing’s first I have Jared Kilkenny to deal with.
