There’s no place like home for Calgary’s Noah Ali heading into Unified 44 in the Stampede City

CALGARY – There’s no place like home.

At least that’s according to Noah Ali, who’s preparing for the biggest fight of his life in his hometown of Calgary.

On May 6 in the Stampede City, Ali takes on Ontario’s Gabe Sagman for the vacant Unified MMA Canadian Bantamweight Championship in the Main Event of Unified 44.

This is Unified MMA’s first event in Calgary, and Ali’s first time competing in his hometown in over half a decade.

“Fighting at home absolutely makes it more special. I’m really grateful for this opportunity,” says Ali, who’s trying to climb to 11-5-1 with a win in his UFC Fight Pass debut.

“Fighting for a title for such a great promotion in my hometown is an amazing opportunity. I’m going to take advantage of the moment and leave it all out there.”

Ali knows a bit about Sagman, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who brings a 7-4 record into battle. But, with more than a decade of experience under his belt, Ali is ready to rise to the occasion.

“He’s a grinder and obviously a high-level grappler, but I’m going to be ready. I’ve got an amazing team behind me,” he says. “I’m going to leave it all on the line and do everything I can to make this an unforgettable night for my fans.”
