TORONTO – The 2023 season for Unified MMA, Canada’s leading MMA promotion, officially concludes on Friday with Unified 54 at the SOLD-OUT River Cree Resort & Casino in Enoch, AB, LIVE on UFC Fight Pass. What a year it’s been, and we’re ending it with a major exclamation point. As always, there’s no shortage of intriguing storylines heading into Friday’s action as we gear up for our 2024 debut in Toronto, the Fight Capital of Canada, with Unified 55 on Jan. 19 at Rebel Entertainment Complex on UFC Fight Pass.

UFC Vets Collide In The Main Event

Much is at stake in Friday’s Main Event – the Unified MMA Canadian Super-Lightweight Championship and a possible return ticket to the UFC’s Octagon. Both the champ Shane “Shaolin” Campbell (21-8) and challenger Darrell Horcher (14-6) are eager to punch their ticket back to the UFC’s Octagon when they square off in the Main Event on Friday. Both combatants have competed at a very high level already, making this weekend’s matchup a world-class fight. It’s Canada versus the United States as Edmonton’s Campbell locks horns with Shermans Dale, PA’s Horcher in our final fight of 2023.

Top Canadian Lightweights Meet In The Co-Main Event

Tom “Big Nasty” O’Connor and Craig Shintani are two of the best battle-tested lightweights in Canada, and on Friday they finally meet on Canada’s Ultimate Proving Ground. O’Connor, of Lethridge, AB, is 12-2 on the strength of three straight stoppage victories, while Shintani, of Edmonton, is 11-4 after back-to-back wins. Fireworks are guaranteed as two of Canada’s most promising 155-pound contenders try to make a statement and earn a UFC contract on the biggest platform in Canadian MMA.

Stacked Card From Top To Bottom

Fight fans are buzzing for Friday’s Main Event and Co-Main Event, but Unified 54 is loaded with must-see fights featuring some of Canada’s most exciting prospects, LIVE on UFC Fight Pass.
