Jan 26, 2019

EDMONTON — Unified MMA and CAP Corporation (CAP) are proud to announce their partnership to implement CAP’s Concussion Prevention Program to all Unified MMA’s professional athletes.

CAP’s patented state-of-the-art technology prevents concussions by measuring risk, generating individual training protocols, tracking performance and collecting data that had no longer before been possible. Unified MMA’s professional athletes will be working one-on-one with CAP Corporation specialists; all expenses will be covered by Unified MMA.

Canada’s most successful and fastest growing MMA promotion, Unified MMA will host its 36th professional MMA event on March 1 at River Cree Resort & Casino in Enoch, AB., featuring three championship bouts.

Ed Kapp, Unified MMA Vice President of Communications, stated that, “We’ve always taken pride in being a leader in the industry when it comes to fighter safety. Protecting our athletes is paramount in our business and safety is always a hot topic. We’re thrilled to take the lead again to implement this safety standard and help our athletes’ durability inside the cage and long after they’ve hung up their gloves.”

Kim Adolphe, CAP CEO added, “It takes leaders like Unified MMA to step up and help us to make a difference in preventing concussions and implementing a safety standard. We are thrilled to partner with them and believe their leadership will result in other organizations in combat sports adopting the CAP Program.”
