Aaron Bosiak is back for one final fight at Unified 49

Dec 12, 2022

EDMONTON – Aaron “The Boss” Bosiak is back.

After six years away from the cage, the former Unified MMA Canadian Championship challenger makes his highly anticipated return to action Saturday at Unified 49 against Cody Ries at River Cree Resort & Casino in Enoch, AB, LIVE on UFC Fight Pass.

“I just need to do it one last time, man,” Bosiak says when asked what brings him back to Canada’s Ultimate Proving Ground.

“I’ve wanted to fight again since 2017, but the stars never aligned. Opponents backing out, injuries, Covid. There was a time I thought I wouldn’t get this final fight, but I’m here and I’m definitely ready for it.”

Although much has changed in the world since 2016, when Bosiak last competed, his expectations for himself remain the same as when he was one of Unified MMA’s most active fighters.

“I just want to compete,” he says. “I’ve worked hard, so I don’t want to go out there and look like I don’t belong in the cage, because I know I do. I think it’s going to be a good fight.”

Bosiak isn’t very sentimental about his fighting career, but he admits he’s made an effort to enjoy the final training camp of his life.

“It’s been fun, and I’ve been relishing it – all of it. I’ve even enjoyed the not-fun days, because I know it’s going to be over soon.”
